Mushroom dude
Mushroom dude by @ragukokarn

So I spent the entire day trying to make this. It's... not perfect. But ya' know. I can kind of see how things work now.

Made entirely in Zbrush because it really was just too much work setting up all of the stuff that needs to be.

I always knew mushrooms were aliens... HAV - Fox Mulder 3

ZBrush's clay style serves this really well. I can imagine 3D-printing a suite of Gray gnomes. :P

Why I posted this:

This is where the learning really started happening. The blocking out from basic geometrics and structuring something up from nothing. I think this was a very valuable thing to do. So many of the fundamental tools of digital sculpting were used to make this. It took several hours to get the character made but it was certainly woth the effort. The character is based on a tutorial that I saw long before actually getting serious about sculpting. At this point I also slowly start understanding the quirky things Zbrush does and why you need to do things in a specific order. Some of it start making sense. The next piece is where I am using all of the skills so far to remake what I started with to see how much I learned. It is a tiny bit better.
