Thank you for your comment. I used a color wheel to help me with the colors. Since light blue is associated with the Rat, I just needed colors which would work with it. The color wheel is a big help in that regard. The character is zi, Chinese for rat. I drew it by hand while eyeballing a reference, then cleaned the result up on my computer.

Very cute. I like the choice of colours in this image, very vibrant, yet complementary. Nicely drawn rat and good job on the Chinese character.
