1/4th of a picture that will hopefully one day be CGed. by @migucast (Miguel Castaneda)

In the last few months, I've been on QUITE a Zelda kick, finishing the Second Quest of Wind Waker, getting my Zelda Collection Disc and tearing through both quests of Zeldas 1 and 2, starting the Oracle Second Quest on Seasons and finishing it and moving on to Ages, and playing a little bit of Zelda 64 from the Wind Waker Pre-Order Disc! So... I wanted to draw something drawn and colored as close to the original style of the original game as I could get. Alas, this is only 1/4th of the total image--I have a Dark Nut and two statues which will be scanned in separately, cged, and then added back into the final image.

Anyway.. I scanned this in yesterday when I had only inked Link and Zelda, but not Ganon as ... Well.. I was having trouble with his arms. Then... When I was uploading to Side 7... I realized, I can only upload two pictures a day... ^^;;;; So I had to wait until today to put this up--However, in the intervening time, I finished Ganon's arms, inked him, and erased all the pencils marks. It's all now READY to be cged! Of course... I have no idea WHEN it'll be cged, as... Well... I have to finish another CG first that I've been dragging my feet on for some time.. ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Heh, I'd still be ona Zelda kick too if I felt like playing ANYTHING lately...

I think it looks a lot like the original art myself, it's sort of a natural complement to your style anyway. I remember a picture of Link in a similar pose. Look forward to seeing it finished.

Ah, old-school Zelda.... Link's hair looks so funny in that style. But that is how he looked in the old games.... Heh, I just played and beat Zelda I over Christmas break--for the first time ever straight through. Those old games really do rock.

I take it you scanned this before you drew in the crossed arms I posed for...? ^^;;; And wasn't that Zelda kick of yours the one that got me playing A Link to the Past...? ^^;; Aaaaaaah, Zelda games...

Wow, this picture's really looking great! Ganon's coming along well at this stage, and Link and Zelda look awesome and very detailed! Link's expression's so cooooooot... Zelda 1 Zelda kinda reminds me of Peach a little... O_o;; Must be the poofy hair and dress...

Finish thiiiiiiiiiis... ;_;

Thanks!

Yeah, Miyamoto's not much for variety in women it seems.. ^^;;;

But I have to finish Rin first! And then I have YOUR Birthday picture to do! ;_;

Ah, so much to say! Well, not really. Ganon is looking really good, and if you can add a little more detail to his armor and to his folded arms he should turn out perfectly. And his face? You're certainly getting there! It should end up looking great!

As far as Link and Zelda are concerned, Zelda is looking wonderful, no problems there. However, with Link, I would like to suggest making his sword a little bit longer and thicker. It just seems like it's far too small at the moment. By adding another half of an inch, maybe a little less, to the length of the sword and expanding the width of the sword by about another millimeter or two he should look great!

And I know this is too much, but if you could add a background that emphasizes Ganon's overbearing presense, the picture should come out insanely well!

I'm not sure what more I could do with his armor... I've never seen any original art of Ganon from the first game and what I have here is pretty much based on his sprite. :\

I'll see about fixing the sword. :p

Oh, there's a background! It's just planned on being implemented on the digital level, so you can't see it yet. :p
