Galaxy Savior CD-The Story of Galaxy Savior by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)

As Anyone who knows me knows I am an 80s and 90s guy and anyone who hears my music can attest to that.

Back in the 90s CD technology was in its infancy but already the storage capacity of CDs over tape was very noticeable ESPECIALLY by video game console manufacturers like NEC and Sega. My first interaction with the CD format was the Sega CD with animation and CD quality sound pumping out of my tv screen literally floored me. This was truly next generation technology and was simply a precursor to how gaming would end up. Sega CD games in particular had a certain sound and feel to them and for a kid fresh off the NES and SNES era of gaming this was beyond anything I thought possible.

So years later I decided to bring Galaxy Savior to the CD Format and made this to sound like you would either be seeing an animation play in front of you or if you popped the disc into a CD player what track number two would play over your speakers.
Special attention was paid to the quality and the recording to make sure everything was clear and that the music was not too low or too high when playing back to the audience. I initially had another recording with a more serious tone for the narrator but cause the track quality was poor I redid the recording and adjusted instrument volume levels and added more reverb effects. I even went and re did the narration to sound like a corny badly narrated voice to sound nerdy to give the track that real old school feel and sound.
This literally killed my PC so while it was meant to be longer it will be split into 2 parts this is Part 1

I never appreciated at the time how the CD format transformed games' multimedia potential. Offloading large files to external memory in the days when "one gigabyte" might literally be your entire hard drive really was a godsend for efficiency. Like, over 80% of Civilization II's total file size was stored on the CD.

The high-quality speech against the low-bitrate SFX definitely communicates that hybrid-fidelity vibe. I do feel the volume could be tweaked further; it may be the echo but the speech feels a bit overpowered by the higher instruments. Altogether though, this has all the necessary components for your own radio play. HAV - Alexander Graham Bell

@Thorvald: Back in the 90s the idea of voice acting and terrible quality audio cause the techonology was new at the time and voice acting was not a profession taken seriously in video games, the whole idea was to remain faithful to the style of sound that early CD format games had
