Sailor Neptune's 'Deep Submerge' Attack, only in this shot she's sort of gathering power. I wish I could have a coloured background (the white seems too stark), but I have not the patience to color it by hand nor the fancy-schmancy computer programs to add it in :*( :cries hysterically for an hour then looks up and smiles real big: OH WELL! ^_^

Jasc.com has a free trial of their art program "Paint Shop Pro" -- it's pretty reputable, and I've seen some great stuff done with it. I use www.micrografx.com 's "Picture Publisher", which also has a free trial on their site.

I like this shot. It's...different. You know, the whole 'gathering-energy' thing.

As for hand-drawn backgrounds..patience. It helps if you just draw li'l backgrounds that interest you for a while (li'l as in... no larger than 5x5 inches)...or even start with abstractish ones with lots of white space. Or use "open borders."

(crosses eyes) I'm tired. If you're confused by anything I just babbled, do email, alright?

And here I was entertained by all the new Invader Zim stuff you have drools over all the Dibs...

I've never seen anything like this with her in it... the lack of background works perfectly fine for me, it makes her stand out more.
