Well, my thing was, I didn't want the flames to cover him completely, because then it would look more like he was actually on fire. But I guess you have a point.

Well, last night I woke up in the middle of the night and randomly started scribbling Zelda stuff...highly sketchy. But I liked my scribble of Shadow Link enough to create my own image for him. The background was something I'd done previously and hadn't made use of, and I knew he'd fit right in with it. I added some flames to the foreground that weren't originally part of it so that it looks like he's stepping through them.
He's still pretty sketchy of course, but since he's a shadow...what difference does it make, eh? Run, Link, ruuuuuun!
Wow, Shadow Link really does go well with those flames... Together they create a suitably dark and foreboding atmosphere! And it even seems like his eyes are glowing with the flames! I wish there were more flames in front of him, though... It looks a little awkward just on one side, almost like the sword's become a torch or something.
Do more work like this! You do really well at creating scenes...
