Cynicallia:
In which instances might a **T(V)** rating be appropriate? Is there a distinction between the possible intentions (aggression, self defense, hunting)? If a character is merely wiping blood off of a blade, with no mention of what occured, how should that be rated?
I'm not going to put a hard-and-fast rule on all the gray areas of weapon use. E is basically the presence of and use of weapons in non-violent ways. M(V) is for presence of and use of weapons to commit acts of violence. If the artist feels that something between those two warrants a T(V) rating, they can rate it such.
That being said, the presence of blood, by the rating rules that have been in place for years, requires a T(V) rating. So, in the specific situation of someone wiping blood off of a weapon the presence of the blood is what would make the rating requirement T(V).
I hope that helps.
