When registering an account, there's an optional referral field that earns the user a pretty hefty credit package. I don't know if it's something reviewed manually, but we have both a fixed user handle (the @...) and customizable display name, and the form doesn't say which format is correct. Could we get a shareable link that pre-fills our name? In the case of people like me who use different handles on different sites, it would eliminate confusion.

Yeah, that's definitely something we can do.  For what it's worth, the referral name is supposed to be the username (fixed handle).

I'll see if I can slip this into v5.25.

Private messages have an autocomplete function for the recipient address that could also help here.

I'm a little hesitant to put that functionality on a publicly available page where anonymous users could abuse it to confirm usernames and such, especially if the owners of those usernames have hidden their accounts from anonymous users.

I suppose it could be modified to not autocomplete usernames for such accounts, though.
