Thorvald:

Between the not-so-subtle shift toward subscription-based OS and now this forced AI integration, once they sunset Win10 I'm going full in on Linux.

It's unlikely it will be subscription-only, but I'll probably just opt-out of the AI features, and if that's not an option, I just won't use them. People have pushed me into trying Linux, and as a life-long Windows user, I could never figure it out or get used to it, it's like trying to force me to act neurotypical. If only LinSpire wasn't so expensive, because at least it's something I'm familiar with.

Charging for freeware *shudder*

Aye, I've dipped into several Linux builds over the years, but apart from a stint where I used Ubuntu for Web browsing they were largely curiosities rather than proper workstations. That said, I've been recommended Mint as the most Windows-like front end, and have a portable build that can run straight from a thumb drive(!) for those that want to test-run things first.

my Linux experience started with dual-booting 32bit Ubuntu on my old Windows XP desktop PC, but I hardly uses it until it's probably become unusable from hard drive changes

Virtualbox made me revisit Linux from installing assorted distros into it, as well I installed Portable Linux into one of my Thumb drive to hack computers that's hard to boot. and for my main Linux Distros(other than VMs and portable distros) I gone with Steam Deck's SteamOS(for now, at least before Windows 10 got sunsetted next year)

Yeah, I believe there was a big controversy over the LinSpire team charging you to use it, but I think it has to do with the legal issue they were in with Microsoft back when it was still called Lindows, and that's why they changed the name.

I've tried Mint, and it seems more likely to be something I could get used to. My only problem is that most of the programs I use on a daily basis such as Clip Studio Paint and Moho for example are not compatible, so I'm hoping Celsys will release a Linux build for both of them before I consider making a full move.

I'm just going to edit this down to erase the duplicate post (my connection sucks), but I believe one of my brothers has a Steam Deck, and he's built custom computers before too. He might know more about this than I do, I could probably ask him more about this stuff, and see what he recommends.

Theres a surprising amount of fanart for GaaIno. I don't even remember if they interacted at all, so it feels like a bit of a crack ship to me. No judgement of course, it's 100 times more normal than some of the stuff I like. I guess they do kinda look nice together.

Okay my last post about Gaara x Ino. I was thinking about them and... I like it now O.o I didn't understand it at first until I remember they both like gardening so that already gives them something to bond over. It's like the extrovert adopting introvert trope. I thought of a scenario where Gaara becomes a regular customer at the Yamanaka flower shop because he takes interest in the cacti and they slowly warm up to each other. Or a funny scenario where Gaara takes it upon himself to water the plants while Ino is gone because they look dry and he later threatens her if she lets them wilt again, which leads Ino to discuss it with her dad and offer him a job. They become coworkers :D Ugh the more I think about them the more I realize how many cute scenarios you can get out of it. They are a diabetes inducingly sweet dynamic. Truly, proof that you should never knock a crack ship until you try it ??

there's people in deviantart that hate Pokemon Horizons for their inability to accepting Ash's retirements from Pokemon anime

worse, when they also hate older seasons of Original anime of Pokemon just as much as Pokemon Horizons for whatever reason

Can't argue with that. It's true as well.

If anything is a mistake, it was my desire for some of that popularity. When I was a kid, I wanted to be like some of the other artists and animators I looked up to, but do things differently by drawing sphinx-esque wolves instead of the standard gray or dire wolves everyone else drew. That caused me to get bullied by the cringe cult, and some of those popular artists now hate me, so I feel far more comfortable living in obscurity now.

Perhaps the social aspect of DeviantArt was a contributing factor in the damaging effects of my past experiences, but I can't help but feel stupid for wanting popularity, and I hate it now. The fact that society dehumanizes celebrities doesn't help either.

me too, at least in "Felling stupid" part, as I crave that popularity mostly for crowdfund my mega-crossover project to get animated

my mega-crossover named Ani-toonspiracy did get me bullied by a Rationalwiki-using Crybaby for slapping IRL conspiracy theories into the work

I'm sorry that wanting to draw something different like sphinx-esque wolves got you bullied. That's really sad.
