First Star I See Tonight Redrawing
First Star I See Tonight Redrawing by @metonnika (Sherri Rose)

gasp This is the first time I have ever drawn on my manga paper! I <3 manga paper! First I should say that this is a redrawing of a page from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics. Sadly, I can't remember issue number so if anyone knows, please tell me. That would make me happy. ^_^ Anyways, I have totally redraw the layout of the comic and drew it in a slightly updated style. With a touch of shojo manga since it's been a hug influence to my art. I had written a little script of the comic so I know that I would not accidently do the exact same layout the original artist did. I'm only positing this because I would like some critiques on this.

Aww! How sweet Princess Sally looks, I really like how you did with the details, so pretty and sweet.

What is "Manga paper"? What is so different from "drawing paper"?

I'll look for that number with that story for you, and get back with you on that. ^~ I like princess Sally, I too did a drawing of her not long ago. Check it out my gallery and please feel free to comment on it. Excelent picture! ^~

Manga paper is a type of paper that is made especially for drawing comics that are going to be printed in book format. It has light blue guide lines that help the artist layout the comic properly. The best part is that the blue lines don't show up when they are printed. I also like the quality of the paper. I can use an eraser without having to worry about damaging the paper.

I searched through my Sonic collection and found that title in "Sonic The Hedgehog No.17". Enjoy! ^_~
