Court of Cats - Spades
Court of Cats - Spades by @tigermouse (April Parks)

The Spades suit from my Court of Cats card deck. Sadly I doubt they'll ever be made into actual playing cards, but prints are not out of the question.

It's funny-the faces do a good job of reflecting the personalities--the King looks stern and regal, the Queen looks beautiful and wise, and the Jack..um..looks Jackian. Yes.

How'd you get that nice mirror "S" effect? I've been wanting to do cards, but that bit hinders me.

These are wonderful... it's a great style that really suits the playing card. The strong black background and wide border reall help the images feel complete.

Have you ideas or images for the other suits?

A word of warning though... never play late night poker with cats... they steal all the chicken nibbles...

Thankie. Actually, the other suits are completed but I haven't uploaded them to my website yet. The jokers for the deck are still pending.

Cats playing poker also tend to eat the goldfish o.O
