Lokkam klavv Aldis
Lokkam klavv Aldis by @fragmented_imagination (B Sanders)

This is Aldis from a spin-off of the story involving Veldos, where the Bashra are not all dead. He's a particularly lazy character who is often poking fun at the girl who hired him, as indicated by her words on the left of the picture and his on the right. He's an incomplete warrior, which is why his sword is lying in plain sight next to him.

I like the pose. But just wondering - why does one foot/boot look fuzzy while the other one is smooth?

That's the grass around his foot. It's pushing up the grass.

But then why isn't there fuzzy grass stuff visible around his coat or the heel of his other boot?

There used to be some there. I wound up erasing it because it looked a little excessive. Pull the picture into full size. You might be able to see it better.

Hmm, yeah, there's a little, but I still think it should be more visible. Either that or cut down on the "fuzziness" of his left boot. Btw, oh fellow language geek (even though I've pretty much done f-all with regards to constructing languages since making the alphabet to Heishu's language Adarimeima), what is the complete translation of the little conversation going on in this picture?

The girl who hired him is reciting the elements of magic. Word, voice, and will. She gets about that far when Aldis interrupts her.
