This is a really nice portrait. Katie has a kind of sad, wistful look in her eyes, and the serious set of her mouth makes me think she is worrying about something. The dreamy quality of the background makes me wonder what she could be thinking about...

I don't think the coloring is bad, at all! I think it's very soft, subtle, and sweet. It could use more work with making the lighting more consistant--or perhaps I mean LESS consistant--texture wise, everything, her skin, shirt, jacket and jeans all appear to be the same. If a less soft highlight was used for her jeans, it would make them appear a bit rougher--more like actual denim than a generic, all purpose kind of cloth. Hmm, I hope that was making sense.

I really think you did a wonderful job with the pose, and the grass--and above all, her expression. It's a very lovely, dreamlike picture, and I am a big fan of it, even if you don't find it to be your best work.
