@Bai-jiu: Thank you! Backgrounds have been a long-running weakness of mine, so I'm glad to hear that.

"Appearing to have only the faintest hold on the physical world at best, carbon unicorns are by far some of the most difficult to understand of the unicorn breeds. In all likelihood, it is because carbon unicorns can exist almost anywhere without being seen or even felt except by those few humans who just happen to be sensitive to their presence. They get their name not only from their visible coat colors, but from their only known form of sustenance: charcoal. If one were to watch a carbon unicorn feed, one would see that carbon is what helps the unicorns maintain their physical form, as the charcoal, once swallowed, quickly becomes part of the unicorn's body. Because they have no tangible form, carbon unicorns are never in any sort of danger. They are attracted to any form of combustion: bon fires, fireplaces, even forest fires. While carbon unicorns cannot hurt humans, the presence of a stampede, while also frightening, is a bad omen: it means that there is a wild fire nearby."
I managed to put a little more work into this one. A few layers here, some brushwork there... I'm still not very good with horse anatomy, but it seemed like a fair try without having to reference anything. Well... for what you can see, anyway. The background could have probably used a lot more work, but I was already one hour past trying to post this, so I rushed it a bit. Still. I am actually quite satisfied with how it turned out. It feels like I had the opportunity to put more work into it than that first one.
I just want to say i really love the background colors! you did a great job>w
