Changing gears and taking a break from my anime style.

This is my first time digitally painting a realistic bird AND not using outlines for a base. Plus I'm not cel-shading. This is a huge step for me! I used a photo I took as reference and eyedropped the colors so I could get a good sense of the colors. I love how this turned out, especially the feathers. Hummingbirds are such cute little guys. =)

Very nice. The painting is excellent, the lighting looks very photographic indeed and you did a very nice job of portraying the shifting colours of a hummingbird's plumage. I look forward to seeing more of you breaking into new style.
