Masah is a young Shammarim woman, simply fleeing an attanged marriage she has no intention of being arranged into. Her father is a well respected and mighty warrior chief of a clan of fearsome, mountain... Goat herders. As the leaders of such quarrelsome Shammarim clans and tribes do, they try to form alliances to other such groups through bethrothals between their adolescent children and lots of wine. Masah had been betrothed to the son of her father's prospective ally at the age of sixteen and three years later they were due to be wed.

Masah donned a hauberk and vambraces of the hard, studded leather armour of one of her father's smaller fighting men and took to the treacherous road to and past Garor. A place unsafe for Shammarim to be near; thought due to the nature of her very martial clan- Masah is a skilled wrestler and is strong for a woman her size, also being quick footed and agile.

Like many men and women of her region, she is also a crack shot when it comes to stone throwing.
