@Thorvald: Honestly you'd think one of them would provide a stipen for work equipment. Especially since I'm a government employee (USDA/NRCS) for the one. But I'm only a grunt out in the field, nothing 'important' with no fancy title, haha.
Funny enough, it's not even the gov job that pays my health insurance either (they actually don't give me any benefits minus paid milage if I use my personal vehicle to go out to a job site.) My other job working in a truck yard is the one I get my benefits and paid vacation from😂
Way to go US government. Really showing the people you care, haha. If erosion control and conservation work wasn't fun to me, I probably wouldn't be working for them.
I'm just most mad at the fact the price of my boots went up so much. I was NOT expecting that when I went to go look up a new pair. Granted they'll last a year or so in my field of work. But damn. Over 200$ now..
You'd think bona fide safety gear is supplied by the job site, but knowing the US I can just picture them using the fact you're double-employed to deflect responsibility. 95% of my dAudience is nonresponsive, but if you like I can plug this over there.
