Smilodon fatalis
Smilodon fatalis by @denise (Denise Chan)

Super Sculpey sculpture! (oo, alliteration.) Was FUN to make and paint. Lots more views/progress photos/goodies available here: Click me!! Click me!!

The species is Smilodon fatalis, the middle-sized sabretooth cat. I couldn't find any reference on Smilodon gracilis and didn't like the proportions of Smilodon populator.

Big cats are COOL. 'Specially extinct ones. :3

I am really impressed with the pose of its body. It has a neat sense of... It's pausing, looking at something...and then it's gonna move off again, kinda quicklike. It's a neat animal pose.

Thanks for the comment! :D Glad you like the pose - had a bit of trouble with that, there, it's hard to find a pose with tension that won't fall over if you breathe on it.

That is awesome! I love the colors and muscle tones under the fur. And the fangs! Ver' pretty fangs...
