There's just something about eyes... I wanted to make her eyes grab your attention and then out stare you... I suppose she has the advantage of being a drawing and therefore doesn't blink...

usually.

Whoa! She's beautiful, but she's creepy! No offense! She's really awesome! Keep up the good work!

(raises hand) Question! (eyes catch Athie) (staaaaaaaare)

Uh, I mean!--do you do these works all in ink, or are you using the computer? Because ink is impossible for me to do, and...something like this would scare the heck out of me without an "undo" button present...

These are indeed done with real live ink... mostly using a gel-ink pen like the "Pentel 2000 0.8" but I use a brush sometimes too for big areas... The number of screwed up bits of paper in my bin is testament to how easily it smudges... and sometimes my hand shakes and makes a line in the wrong place... Argh!

I most confess hovever that I do sometimes touch up a little in Paint Shop Pro... if I've spent 2 hours inking and I really can't face re-doing it over one little smudge... But more often then not... what you see is what I've got... (mostly black, ink-stained hands... )
