Gorgeous. The texturing, the pose, the facial expression - which I rarely see done well in 3D. The ground is a little flat, but I can only imagine how many hours this took to render, and of all the things that could have been sacrificed, that's probably the least problematic. Although perhaps more of an earthy forest floor might decrease the flatness of it? Still, very lovely work.

Yeah, I probably should have added more grass or tried using a bump map on the ground. The problem with adding grass is that there was already a lot of transparency maps on the other plants so it would have taken a lot longer to render, as you've said. What to do with the ground to make it more real seems to be my biggest issue right now. I probably need to sit down and just work on some nice bump maps for to use.
