Eggplant by @Anke (Anke Wehner)
The eggplant grows one long stalk, which at first is curled up and straightens out while growing longer, in the centre of a cushion of very thick, round leaves. The stalk bears few, narrow leaves, and the blossoms and fruits. The blossoms are at first view indistinguishable from buds, the hard-shelled fruits are white. When ripe, they fall on the cushoin of leaves, where the chick inside can hatch, to be adopted by a nearby hen.
You didn’t really think chickens lay eggs, did you? That’s unhygienic. XP
Again, I blame Mutt.

A+ for the pun. Very cute. I like the simplicity of this picture, there's just enough to it to make it complete without going overboard on details and such. The little chick is cute, too.
