Has anyone noticed, when looking around art sites, most drawings of female RPG characters have irriatingly perfect figures? I drew this little sketch of Nika Anym, turned Nikalah Emmerson, as a challange to that. She's pretty, but she's short, a little plump, and she's got legs that weren't attached to Barbie in a previous life. Amazing!

Media: a 9B pencil, a tiny selection of water-colour pans (which I am still terrfied of) and my new Chinese brushes (which I am incredibly terrfied of, and don't know how to use properly, though I love them) and Photoshop for cleaning. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Kitty Ryan

claps Yeah! It's about freaking time! I'm also sick of these cookie-cutter characters with the, as you put it, 'Barbie legs' and the supermodel body. The drawing looks great, and I must say she looks very pretty ^-^

She's very beautiful, even if she's not the idealised female. I think your brush strokes are amazingly lovely. And the colors and shading are beautiful as well-she looks almost Native American, which I think is awesome. :)
