It might be different in NZ but I'm just imagining the cost per year to renew that plate...

@JediPrincess: The transport ministry actually subcontacts vanity plates as "buy-to-own", and it's created a whole mini-industry around their resale. :P

@Thorvald: That's way better than here in Australia. You pay per year to retain that combination and lose it if you don't. I was paying close to $300 a year custom plates before I sold the car last year.
