Flowers for Mom by @katduga (Kat Dugas)

Kind of fitting, what with the blizzard and all. Trying out that texture fill in style again. The only actual lines from the original sketch are the shadows in the flower petals, other than that I completely layered the picture over.

When Timbre was younger, he used to visit his mother's grave frequently, and always brought those flowers with him. Even if the weather was severe, he'd insist, and his grandmother would often find him curled up next to her grave, fast asleep.

There's some extra space on the side, partially 'cause I was toying with layers (for the pawprints) and because I was thinking about adding some text. Decided not to. Artwork © Copyright 2003 Kat Dugas
