I'm extremely impressed with that wood grain! The leaves are nice, too. If you're really serious about doing more backgrounds in your work (and I'd encourage you to do so, as many artists here don't, and those who do stand out), I'd suggest you learn just a few basics of perspecctive (atmospheric perspective, for instance, would work pretty well here...just make things in the background less dark than things in the foreground).
