There's a real question as to whether Christianity would have even gotten off the ground without women on board. But then Constantine comes in and is like "eww cooties".
@Thorvald: I'm not suprised, I would argue that women has helped the human race since history, and men take too much credit for stuff they didn't do completely, imo.
But that's just me.
(I sometimes wonder a future where we all just forget about gender role crap tbh.)
@N0-11: I mean, without women, neither of us would be here. :^) There was a lecture series several years ago by Sally Armstrong, Power Shift: The Longest Revolution that examines the historical shift out of prehistoric egalitarianism and the fight to reclaim equality. At the end of Part 5, she recounts Leslie Van Gelder's research into cave art, and how one of the most fascinating subjects was a four-year-old girl who used both hands for fluting. Now, this cave is pitch-dark, and there were no scorch marks on the ground, and so the question struck her: Who was holding her light?
(Frustratingly, the Canadian public broadcaster doesn't seem to maintain permanent records and I can't find an archive of Lecture 1, though the series was subsequently adapted into a book.)

@Thorvald: An ideal world without gender role nonsense and patriarchy crap sounds really good right now.
I really like the eyes
