I use Koi watercolos right now, - (tubes, paint) by Sakura. I really am not that fond of the watercolor pencils, and even though I have some, I hardly ever pick them up. I have Yarka watercolors on my Christmas wish list, and I am keeping my fingers crossed, that Santa sees fit to put them under my tree Christmas morning. They are really the best watercolors, and I am fainting with anticipation at having a full set....large grin! I am sure you will enjoy using watercolors, they are so versital, and cost effective too!!! A little goes a long way, and they have lasting power in that area.

300 lb. cold press Kilimanjaro Koi Watercolors
This piece inspired by some moths, I photographed in our yard. The big moth actually is colored as close to real as possible. These were really cool moths!

Beautiful, as always. I love how you've made the moths and the woman seem so related, showing they are both parts of the same world. The textures are amazing, as always. I really do need to get some good sketches done, because I really want to try some watercolor work like this.
I hope you get the watercolor set you've been wanting! Personally, I am in love with the little cakes of watercolors my friend has--I can't think of the brand name right now. But such a tiny bit goes a really long way! She's had them nearly a year, and they're barely even missing any.
thank you very much...yes you really need to give watercolors a go, I just love em, so I am a bit biased though...grin" I got my Yarka sets for Christmas...oh my I am hooked, really hooked, they are fantastic...I highly recommend them to any one interested in watercolors.
