Apparently people are saying that they have seen thylacines in the wild - yay! Such cool critters!

Contrary to popular belief, I really hate painting trees - why does every single picture idea I have involve trees?! Trees, trees, trees! Aaaa!!

Oh, and don't worry about the plants - I just made them up. :D

Extra info: I drew a thylacine at about the same time last year - click. This one is quite a bit better, if I may say so myself! ^^

Woah, man... BEAUTIFUL. The painterly style, the background, the thylacine (I love those things. I almost got to see one on TV, but... mrr.)... lighting, colors... b'joo. :D Top score for you.

Question: Was this done in Photoshop? 'Cause I'm very interested in digital painting. Weeenk.

Thanks for the comment!! Hehe, I did see the thylacine program on the telly...they were a bit stiff, being computer-animated and all, but I'm not complaining as long as I get to see 'em! :D T'was a cool program.

...Whoops, went off on a tangent there...I meant to say, yep, this is a Photoshop painting. Photoshop 6, to be specific, with just the hard round brush and the soft round brush in various sizes, and the tablet of course. The original resolution was 2800x2000 (or roundabouts), and it had about 10 layers by the time I was through (my poor computer!). Digital painting is fun. And non-messy. :D Anything else you want to know, just ask! :)

Yes, I read that article. Very interesting news :)

This picture is beautastic. You say you don't like drawing trees, but I say DRAW MORE because you're really good at it. Though the lines are sketchy, the trees still look extremely realistic. Pets the fuzzy thylacine

Thanks for the comment! ^^ I really hope there are still thylacines...that would be awesome.

I probably will be drawing trees again soon, once I get over the pain of painting the three detailed ones in this piece...all my silly ideas either include trees, or clouds. Clouds I don't mind, but trees...shudder Glad you liked my trees though!

Oh, and watch out for your hand, he's got a mouthful of verrry sharp teeth. XD

Shoot! I should've had you make a tree-drawing tutorial!! :D I didn't realize this was recent--it looks great. Reminds me of Socar Myles' work--but then, everyone ough to tbe a fan of her. ;)

Thanks for sharing, this is fantastic!

Trees? WHERE? AAAAA!!! tree-phobic I'm really rather glad, in a sneaky way, that I did the colour tut before you mentioned trees...XD Socar Myles is amazing. Thank you! :D

Nice job, I really like the lighting and shadows...I really can't use Photoshop to do this kind of thing. And interesting perspective as viewed from the dark looking into the light, not a lot of artists can successfully carry that off.

Wow! OO wow - this pic is awesome! I totally love the whole forest with TREES :P you're excellent at drawing them, how weird that u hate to tho. Excellent pic, I give it a round 10 outta 10

Ahh! The detail is blinding! I could never do something like this... I'm way too impatient. I really like this a lot! Trees are stupid, but you're very good at them. The colouring is amazing as well. The whole thing's good... It's not fair!

WOW, this picture blows my heart, at first, i thought this was done manually, because pictures made using photoshop usually has no ART in it, but when i read this picture was done by photoshop, i almost fainted. TWO THUMBS UP!
