@Thorvald: Because I am not a PC player if this is referring to the games and not the movie did they make a dune 2? I only have the 1980s version on blu ray I missed out on the soundtrack for it, I know I get a lot of my work compared to Greg's work a lot I think it has something to do with the style of music I make based on 80s and 90s sounds. I am always flattered when his name is mention on any of my pieces even though I had NO CLUE who he was till a hardcore fan of my works told me Greg was the guy who did the Command and Conquer soundtrack. That floored me to be truthful when his name started to frequent comment sections of my works on various websites at the time.

Little Prayer-Sword Master Legend Arcade Attract mode music by @XxTheCreativeKitsunexX (XxTheCreativeKitsunexX)
Made to replicate old school Capcom and Arcade Attract Mode Music, this was a mock up track to help me develop my arcade music style music.
Don't know about you but I would LOVE to play this game if it was real. More music for the series has been planned and will appear at a later time.

@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: I don't know about the Eighties, but there was an earlier game by a different studio that adapted the book as a hybrid of adventure and real-time strategy. Dune II was Westwood's first RTS title that literally set the template for the rest of the genre. Apparently Klepacki was only 17 when he was hired by Westwood ca. 1991.
Dune 2000 was a remake to update the gameplay for the UI standard of the C&C generation, and the soundtrack was redone to fauxchestral fidelity. Emperor was the last RTS published under Westwood (and was technically subcontracted to the British studio Intelligent Games); it has three separate soundtracks, one for each house, each by a different composer working to a different mood.
@Thorvald: dang I meant Frank not Greg.
@XxTheCreativeKitsunexX: One day we'll get an edit button for comments. :p
@Thorvald: That would rock so that clutzy mittens like me can fix their typos more easier.
The drumbeat in this gives me strong Dune II vibes. Klepacki says the D2K soundtrack is what he wanted but couldn't do with the hardware at the time, but the Nostalgia Factor is real. Even today, watching the credits sequence makes me inexplicably choke up.
