Sea Spirit
Sea Spirit by @kristensk (Kristen Sharpe)

An unfinished color comp of a project I'm working on. I tell you, I saw this image in the marbled pattern on my shower wall (I see faces in lots of swirling patterns and leaves, actually)... and I can't quite explain it. A sea spirit of some kind appears to help a shipwrecked castaway (not picture here). The sea figure is formed from the waves and does appear to be a naked woman... though I don't consider it risque because, being made of water and not terribly defined, there's nothing to see.

Actually, this reads as being a male, to me. Something about the angles of the face, plus the way the body starts out very wide at the shoulders and gets narrower at the waist (but never curves out again) just...reads as a female.

I do love your color choice, though, it really evokes a mood. Nice job!
