DAAAAAUMN, the first two ppl's art i check out, and already 2 gojyo's, lol. i'm working on one myself, which when finished, will be my first upload, unfortunately my comp can't do all that shading and crap like that, so it's just a plain old drawing, that im trying to figure out how the hell i'm going to color in with colored pencils, so pleaaaaaaase give me some info on how to do this, i'm kinda just gettin started in all, oh yeah, luv ur pic, u should do more of gojyo, and of saiyuki in general.

Thanks for your comment! As for shading, the first thing you have to keep in mind is to have a definite light source. Once you've figured that out, put shadows on the far side of each part of the figure from the light source. Some people find it helps to draw "light arrows" on the page, pointing in the direction of the light, so you have a clearer look at where the light is coming from. You can also try viewing the character as a mix of different shapes - an egg shape for the head, cylinder for the neck, etc. - and that might help you place shadows as well. To help keep colored pencils smooth while shading, start light and work up to the darker shadows, putting it down in layers. The slower you put down the color, the smoother the shading will be.
