Yes, of all the anime for me to get into... Speed Racer! Back from the days when people still called it 'Japanimation' and anime series weren't just designed to sell trading cards. It's an oldie, but it's a classic.
I'm getting into a lot of older anime lately, like Lupin III and stuff like that, and I just love 'Speed' now! The stories and characters are actually interesting, plus Speed's car is really cool, and come on, you can't NOT laugh at the motor-mouth dub job they did on that show lol ^^ And there's a monkey. What more could you ask for? Anyway, here's Speed and his girfriend, Trixie, done in a more modern-day style, and also in MY new style, meaning I'm trying new things with my linework as you may notice. I'll refrain from singing the Speed Racer theme song... just cause I know it'll be stuck in my head all day if I do. NOTE: Well, apparently this is going to be my last image on this site -- At least for a while. Seems the new rules have taken effect and now Side7 won't let me load any new images--unless I shell out the green of course. I really think this is sickening. I knew it was coming, but it still is just ridiculous. I hope the morons on here realize how many artists they're going to lose by doing this. I don't know what I'm going to do now (and yes, I tried Deviant.Art. They're not letting any AOL users sign up, so I'm screwed there), but until I can find somewhere else to post my art or afford to send the money-grubbing thieves who run this site some money, then this is goodbye. I can't tell you all how much you're comments and support and friendship have meant to me. I love you all ^_^ I hope I'll still see you all again. Thank you for everything.
