Flag of the Holy Egyptian Republic
Flag of the Holy Egyptian Republic by @Thorvald (El Thorvaldo)

Flag of Egypt in Taniciusfox's latest IOT horror, ATEN. Why, yes, there is a correlation between his selected motif and my choice of player state. ;)

Usually I put these up either when the game has finished or has at least gained some mileage, but it's started with a worldbuilding stage of indeterminate length, and frankly, I like these flags so much that I'm willing to post them upfront. The nation I conceived blends Nasserist patriotism with the Old Religion, with a particular emphasis on a cult centred around Anubis that, thanks to TanIOTs' flexible approach to reality, does not merely pay spiritual dividends. B-) The particulars of the history &c. have not yet been settled, and due to the nature of worldbuilding threads will probably remain in a state of flux until the start of the game proper. Once a solid timeline is laid out, I'll amend this description.

This flag is quite clearly adapted from the current Egyptian flag. I experimented with an ovular centre partly for variety, and to emphasize the ankh. At the same time I like the effect, I'm not totally satisfied with the balance, and may revise this more than once in future. In the mean time, enjoy this pan-Arab anthem.

UPDATE 3-9-22: Downloadable vector available in the SVG Legacy Flag Pack!
