I see what you mean with the boots, I was so sick of crosshatching them I forgot to make the lines finer __

I apologize for the filesize __ I wanted the scan to look nice...
Santiago, in a dream, with butterfly shaped dream spirits of whom belong to Morpheus (my character >> not the actual mythological god.. or that dude from the Matrix)
gel pen, prismacolor markers (I finally am using them again! yay) prismacolor colour pencils, black pen, green pen, green highlighter, metallic prisma markers.
and many q-tips and tissues gave their lives to blend my prismas __ the scan makes the blue look terrible though... argh
also, this started as a doodle I did in my mom's office, so thats why the anatomy on her arms/hands and legs are off. '_'
spent much much time and effort on this, feedback welcomed

Well, first off, I love the border. That really jumped out at me and the designs in the corners and along the edges are very unique and catching. I also really like the green highlights and strands of green hair mixing in with the black. It makes the hair look natural yet mysterious at the same time. Kudos on the butterflies, those must have taken you a while, and I agree that the way they fly off the edge of the picture is very effective. Definitely a dreamlike quality to this picture, and shaded quite well. Very nice work.

I'm glad you liked the border. I like to use similar designs in other pictures as well, but you're the first to directly point them out. ^^ I'm also glad the green in her hair with the black is okay, it was originally a mistake on my part X) thats what I dont like about prisma markers though, I have to use highlighters to get neon colours.

Wow. I adore this picture. The colors are all so vibrant, and the composition and details... I'm absolutely amazed! I really love the border, it surrounds the picture so well. Those are beautiful patterns! I just love how the butterflies lead the eye directly into the picture, to her face. I want to visit this dream world, too... You should definetly sell prints of this picture. Cause I WANT one.

and about prints, I might be able to get some available during the summer... I sure hope so. I'm thinking of selling some prints and maybe some originals of my art for money (since I'm getting poorer and poorer all the time XD well that and you arent the first to ask me about selling prints. __ aiee, who knew people wanted to buy them? I'm too hard on myself sometimes. )
Very nice work. I love how the butterflies extend outside the picture plane, it makes it very effective. I also like the use of mixed mediums to get a desired effect, it looks wonderful. I don't really like the crosshatching on her boots, it makes it look too much like a scetch. The illusion created by all the simple forms in the bottom makes it look incredibly detailed, good job!
