Brotherly Love
Brotherly Love by @Seifer_sama (Seifer-sama C.)

laughs Well this one was requested and the person wanted it to be yoai... @.@ But I don't do yoai so I changed her idea a little bit. :) Now Sesshoumaru are fighting. :-D

With this picture, as with the last three I tried to stay true to the anime style they used. Sesshoumaru's hair never comes out to be the right color though and the same goes for Jaken's colors. Color pencils can be really limited sometimes. Oh well, you have to make do with what you have. ^^ Well I hope you like it.

Yaoi, I like. Incestuous yaoi? No thank you. Especially NOT in Inu-Yasha. I'm sorry, but it's just not in that series! At all! Anyways, fighting definetly suits these two MUCH better.

Again, you've got an awesome action pose. I have to disagree about your colors, though--they look awesome. You get a lot more depth and texture, let alone color variation, with your colored pencil technique than they can possibly get into the anime, unless they wanted to make it take a billion years to make and twice as many dollars.

It's so cute to see Kagome and Jaken in the background--it almost looks like they're snoozing? Sick of the way these two are always fighting to the death, perhaps? Maybe.

I really love the details you have included here. The sash on Inu-yasha's outfit, and the tiny designs in Sesshou-maru's sleeves and the ties on Inu Yasha's are really nice touches that are all but unnoticed most of the time. And their fierce expressions suit them very well! I also like how they seem to be evenly matched. You can't tell who is going to win in this picture!

All in all, I defiently agree with you changing the picture from what the person originally intended. Instead of having another piece of fangirlish drivel, you've got a real masterpiece of fanart.

Ah! Again you leave me with such a nice comment. Thank you. I love how much attention you give the fanart. It warms my heart when people actually take the time to critique my work. :)

laughs And I am glad I changed it too. I'm sorry to all those who think so, but Inu Yasha and Sesshoumaru just don't seem like a couple to me. I like it better when they are in a heated fight. :)

And you were right, Jaken and Kagome are sleeping in the backgound. Just bored out of their wits of the endless battle of Sesshoumaru and Inu Yasha's big egos. ^^

Thanks again for the nice comment.

I love this picture! with very good reasons, of course!

Reason #1: Sesshoumaru

Sesshoumaru is not an easy one to draw - he looks a bit feminine yet not really, and his 'neutral' expression is famous among those who have tried to draw him because it's so hard to capture. (his rare anger + neutral is even harder to draw unless drawn comically, which you didn't) another thing you captured perfectly is his hair, also hard because it seems like it's made out of different material than Inuyasha's, whose hair is a bit coarser looking. I love the way it swirls around; if it was blue, I'd have thought it was water.

another thing I was amazed at was the armor - not many people could master the skill of shading metallic things, clothes and flesh, but you seem to have aquired all three of them. also the details on his Kimono is fantastic! I can almost believe that you make a living out of drawing things! (which I'm not sure if you are)

two things I'd have to say about Sesshoumaru is that I think you put too much mascara(?) color on his eyelids and that Sesshoumaru has only one hand - unless this is before Inuyasha cut off his arm. but then why would Jaken and Kagome be bored?

Reason #2: Inuyasha

you got the stubborn look on Inuyasha allright! it shows how worked up he is right now in this 'sibling rivarly' (sp?) XD I can see there's a lot of action going on in Inu's body because of your fantastic wrinkle effects on his clothes! but I'm sorry to say, I like Sesshoumaru much better than Inuyasha in this picture.

some VERY small things I'd like to point out and you can ignore: Inuyasha's Kimono sleeve isn't that short. it's WAY longer. and you made Inu's eyelashes a bit long, making him look like a girl. it looks good on Sesshoumaru, but I don't think the same goes for Inuyasha.

Reason #3: The Fans.

the expression on Kagome and Jaken is so realistic looking! >w

I must thank you for such a long comment. Most people wouldn't even bother to leave such a long one. :) It was nice too that you not only pointed out what you liked, but also what you disliked. I only have one thing to say about that: I do realize that Sesshoumaru only has one arm... however... For this picture, one arm would not have worked... so I broke the rules and gave him his arm back. (He looked better with two anyway). Thank you once again for your comment.
