Dujiao Qilin
Dujiao Qilin by @BlackUniGryphon (Black UniGryphon)

A Dujiao Qilin or Unicorn Qilin.

A Dujiao Qilin or 1-horned/Unicorn Qilin.

In General, Qilin have antlers, but some are Unicorns. When I was in Bejing with my husband I often saw the Unicorn varieties.

Pronounced: "Doo-Djyaow Tchee-Leen"

Du jiao = 1-horned or unicorn.

In Chinese: "q" sounds like "Tch" "i" sounds like "ee"

Beautiful. I see very few Qilin's around and most of them lean towards a more equine look. This is beautiful, the mix of equine and draconic features is done excellently, the mane and hair have a wonderful motion to them and the scales are so detailed it hurts ^.^ A beautiful picture.

Thanx! ^_^

I often saw the more Equine-like Qilin in Beijing. BUt, I've seen so many styles of these.

If you like these, I do have others similar to these on my old website:

I guess they are kinda Dragon-like.

Of the 4 Main Lucky gods, 3 are Dargon-like:

*Long (Dragon) *Qilin *Bixi (The Dragon Headed Turtle) [Pronounced: "Bee-Schee"]

-and then there's the "Feng" (Pheonix-like god) and those also have scales (Bird feet).

I just love dragons and stuff like that. ^_^
