I can see why. The figure is nicely drawn, pretty well in proportion, and the pose is expressive. The angle of her right arm is a little off - the way her hand's pointing straight up lends the viewer to believe that her elbow is at the bottom of the curve of her sleeve, which is far too low. But otherwise, it's nice work. I'd like to see this picture colored.
