Padfoot Returns by @magenta (Laurel)

Ok.. I just decided to post one of my average model horse customs. What I do is I take a normal Breyer horse stablemate (stablemate meaning that they are around 3" tall) which I buy at petco for around $3 each. Then, I sand the seams and the logo off, spray primer, and then apply my colors. I do all of my horses with many, MANY layers of alphacolor chalk pastels. This one is a bay, so I started out with soft layers of yellow, then to orange, then a bit of red, and then brought it down with some browns and lastly black. Then after that I added all of the details with acrylic paints, including the socks, hooves, eyes, and face markings.

I particularly liked this one.. it is a dappled bay, who I call Padfoot, which of course is dedicated to the amazing Sirius Black. (may he rest in peace!) This one was sculpted by Kathleen Moody. I did not sculpt him.
