Black as Midnight
Black as Midnight by @Seifer_sama (Seifer-sama C.)

laughs Well this was my first Orphen drawins so please do cut me some slack. Anyway, Harita here is one of my favorite characters. He's so hilarious.

I have to say, I was pretty happy with the way this turned out, but unfortunately... the scanner really messed the colors up. That's so disappointing. ^^;;;; Why must scanners be so tempermental. Anyway... please comment that is if you want to. "I am Black Tiger..." laughs

I don't really believe the scanner ruined some of your colors. you have a great eye for colors because whole picture gives this dark mood, which goes well with your title. I'd really like to congratulate how you did the bull he's sitting on, because bull drawings are not as oftenly drawn as other animals as well as it's hard to exactly convey the stoutness and the strength of the animal.

Well thank you. I must admit that I'm not very good when it comes to animals. ^^ And this bull was pretty difficult, but it's his pet (Caroline) so I had to have it in the picture. Anyway thanks for the really nice comment. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. ^^

Wonderful work! I don't know the series, but the character looks very attractive. I think your colors are wonderful and they go very well with eachother; your highlights are great, also. The bull is indeed very well-done; it's pretty intimidating oo;

The foreshortening on his foot is a little off, but it doesn't detract much from the overall drawing, IMO.

This is really bright and vibrant for such a moodily dark theme - it's beautiful! What mediums did you use? I know the consistency loss associated with scanners - so I can only imagine what the origihal must look like.

The moon caught my attention from the thumbnail - made me take a closer look, and I'm glad that I did! Never seen this anime before, but the character looks pretty cool.

The folds and highlighting in the cape and pants are especially nice.

Hi! Thanks for the kind comment. ^^ I just wanted to answer your question really quick, for my picture I used Crayola colored pencils. It's about the only medium that I'm good at. Well anyway thanks again. :)

BLACK TIGER!!!! YAY!!!!LAUGHS Oh this is great! Hartia you're the best...I love you!

Hartia isn't one of those characters that you fall head over heels for on sight. He's not some cool hot shot, or mysterious quiet man with a dark past. Like the typical fangirl falls for. If anything he's the opposite... he's a complete goofball...with the mind set and innocence of an eight year old, which makes him impossible to hate.

I laugh every time I see him...especially when he is attempting to be the all powerful Black Tiger and fails miserably.

I love this picture! You've captured his serious solemn side perfectly, while subtly showing his goofy side as well (I love the bow), and you even remembered to add Caroline. giggles

Your artwork is awsome as always. I love the clothes! Was it hard finding pictures online to help you out? So sorry I've been borrowing your series from you and haven't returned it yet. I should probably return it soon. * stares at the ground feeling guilty for having deprived you of Hartia for so long* ^ ^' I'll return it soon, promise.

Anyways see ya!

"I am..Black Tiger...." "Stupid fat hobbit" laughs ok I'm done being weird now.
