There once was a stained glass artisan - or more appropriately, a novice artisan - who was depressed due to his lack of inspiration. To create a truly remarkable piece, he first needed some remarkable subject. Landscapes and seascapes were quickly becoming a cliché.

Fortunately for the artisan, one day while sitting and watching the ocean, he was visited by the most remarkable of creatures, who perched briefly on the pier dock, clutching a bag to his chest. The creature looked the artisan in the eye for a brief instant, before jumping into the water and disappearing completely.

The artisan found his inspiration, and quickly got to work before he lost the mental image of his visitor. When he finally finished his opus, was praised for his skill and imagination, despite his claim that the creature in the glass was indeed real. The piece was eventually sold for a high price, and is now on display in a public temple far south of here.

I wonder what Mategai would think of it, though...
