Well, I know of your obscure reference. You had to explain it slightly, but at least I've played the game. (and I think the sequel. I remember Maxis(?) was one of my favorite developers! Ah, SimCity 2000, and Tribes and Incredible machines . . .)

I really like it when people draw anthro cats. Yours looks so sad. I love how you did the slightly clenched fist and her dress, especially with all the creases and folds. It looks so realistic. The way you did her face and hair is good as well. I enjoy the splashes of color in her fur. The objects in the room were good props and help to fill out the scene.

Yeah, it's pretty obscure. When you mentioned that you were trying to be clever, the first thing that popped into my mind was the hackneyed phrase "curiosity killed the cat," which could certainly be applied to Madame Curie's investigations into the property of radium. Then, of course, there's that weak pun: "CURIEosity killed....blah blah blah." I'm probably way off base, though.

Anyway, I really should comment on your artwork more...although, I haven't been paying attention to S7 as much since I joined DA.

This is a really nice pic. I really like her expression. She seems preoccupied. Also, the folds in her dress are, for teh most part, good, especially the pleats on the bodice. teh skirt folds are a little strange looking. Are they pleats? Otherwise, I would suggest starting out with lines, then having them turn into shadows. Very nice work.
