Tallest Miyuki
Tallest Miyuki by @tarysand (Taryn Sanders)

After reading the script for 'The Trial', I really wanted to draw Almighty Tallest Miyuki. Of course I have absolutely NO way of knowing what she looks like, so this is a total made-up, speculative, personal artistic vision of how I think she MIGHT have looked. And they never did any character designs for her, so who's to say I'm wrong? ^~ Okee, let me explain the design I came up with... I've been told by a reliable source that Irkens have only three eye colors: Red, Purple, and Green. Since Red and Purple were already taken, I thought she should have green eyes. As for the uniform, I didn't want to stray TOO much from Red and Purple's design, since if theirs are alike, then odds are all Tallest uniforms are similar. And I have absolutely no idea why, but I get the oddest feeling that she'd have worn an eye patch. I really don't know why, it's just a feeling I got. I wasn't even going to include it, but something was really nagging me to put that in there, and due to a strange thing that happened to me involving Invader Zim and a dream (Em, you know what I'm talking about ^~), I've learned not to ignore my intuition. I know you're thinking, "Why would an Irken have an eye patch??" I realize they probably have the technology to fix that sort of thing, but that's just how it came to me. Maybe it's just temporary, or maybe it's really a network of cybernetic optical receptors or something hooked up to her eye socket, I really don't know. Either way, I think it's a nice personal, differenciating touch if nothing else. ~Sigh~ It would have been so cool to see a female Tallest, not to mention Red and Purple as young Irkens -_- I wish so much that they hadn't scrapped that episode, but I guess I can imagine. Woah! That is cool!! I really wanted to see Tallest Miyuki, too. And little Red,Purple, Zim and Skoodge... (sighs, and shoots the Nick people in the kneecaps)

Only red, purple and green? (makes a face) My Irkens eyes are orange. Plergh, I'll have to change that. Ah, well. The eyepatch does look spiffeh! Suits it muy nicely. ^_^

Next up, Spork, eh? XDD

Oh that is BEAUTIFUL! Very very nice job ^.^ You know something? ALWAYS trust your intuition. You know these Irkens aren't JUST a fictional race ^.~

I finally have the courage to comment on at least ONE of your art pieces. This is such an accurate Tallest look. And... heck, this probably IS what Miyuki would look like. I reeeally want to see the episodes that aren't going to be able to be airing now. >\

Ummm, anyway. I think the light jade color on her skin fits perfectly with her deep green eyes. The eyepatch is a nifty addition to the character, too. It's very creative, yet she does looks like she might actually be on the show. Like all of your other artworks, this is so cool! ^^

I am at a lack of better words oO

Ohhhhhh....Spectra, you've done it again. She is gorgeous! And the eye patch is a very nice touch. You should try Tallest Spork next! ^_^

I like that eye-patch. ^^ Every character on IZ has to have a unique little trait or something about them. That's a great touch. Bravo.

Only three colors? Hmmmm....Ya think they would have blue and orange....

Aaaaaannnnnnnyyyywwwwaaaaayyyyy..... She looks spiffy enough to be the original design for Miyuki! You should try Spork next. I actually thought his color would be orange, but now knowing that there are only three colors, I'd say his color would be.......a dark red. Or at least some kind of red. O.o;

Sweet holy profane word of choice goes here, this is one of your most awesome pictures ever. You really oughta make a tutorial webpage or something...no one can draw IZ fanart better!(and color IZ fanart too- so clean and pretty!)

Taryn wonderful as always! You should really try sending this to Jhonen and seeing what he thinks. I mean you do such wonderful work with IZ chars that I wouldn't doubt that he may respond. I love the design! She looks so sweet to me kinda unsure and timid. I haven]t read the script yet so if someone can send it to me I'd be thankful. Once again I must say YOU ROCK!

Wow.

I know you've gotten dozens of praises for this already, but I just wanted to put it in my own words. First off, congratulations on having such a spectacular talent for drawing and coloring. Most of your images- like this one here- look like they came straight from a professional artist's desk, or even more so, straight out of a cartoon screenshot.

I'm working on a Zim fic series with Cartman's Girl (called "Prelude To The Nightmare"), and in it, we've made Miyuki a male. We weren't really sure on Miyuki's gender, but he looks pretty good as a girl! ^_^ LOL

Hey, if Jhonen ever sees this image, he might actually consider making this character a whole new one for a possible Zim comic. Wouldn't that be something? :) I'm sure you deserve it, after all the hard work you've put into this and all your other works. Keep it up, Taryn, you kick ass!!

What can I say? As class as ever, and it makes me all fuzzy and warm inside to see someone come up with really fitting character designs. I'll join everyone else in saying "why the hell couldn't we have this episode?!", but it's impossible for me to get down about it thanks to your fab fanart. Heehee! What a shame that this lass ends up getting squished by Zim. :-)

Wooo! You've done it again, darling. I LOVE the way you did her eye. Speaking of eyes, aren't Zim's eyes magenta as well? I mean, that's what colour I see, and my bumbly-bee plushie's eyes are magenta. ANYWAY, that was totally off topic...I really like ALL of your work. If you visited my page, I'd die. Literally, most likely.

KEEP UP THE FANTABULOUS WORK! (Fantabulous??)

I sooo agree with the cancelling the ep was a stupid idea thingy. Hands up who hates Nick! That's an innovative idea. I might draw Spork sometime.
