The Hashkar family by @The-Wizard-of-Zaar (The Wizard Of Zaar)
The Hashkar family. A Sargari family from Penkilos; Seen here is married couple Igra and Eravi Hashkar. Eravi is holding their infant son Khaa.
On the side is middle child Darim Hashkar and his older sister Imalavi, both of whom are adults.
The Hashkars are largely a model Sargari family. Both parents descended from long lines of clergy, they uphold the ideals of the fierce matriarch at the head and the beastial, but subservient husband behind her. A family unwavering in their religious belief and observance.
Igra Hashkar is from a long line of Kadar; his mother and great grand mother were Vesras... But every single man in his family; from his eldest son Darim, himself, his father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who participated in the day of beheading... Were all Kadar. Being a dutiful husband, supportive father and batshit insane, merciless Kadar are all at the fibre of his being. For Igra; to live his life even for half a day outside of the confines of the religion of Agra is a distressing and horrific notion for him. Igra is a massive monster of a man; larger than even many other Kadar. But despite his size and inclination towards the fat side; he still exemplifies the Sargari characteristics of speed, agility, dexterity and stamina as a Kadar is expected to.
He is highly skilled in Kadryka and has memorized the Ranyin; he specializes in grappling and knife/dagger fighting - With the katar being his primary weapon.
In combat he is like an avalanche of stabbing, headbutting, punching and kicking. He fights with a level of brutality and savagery that even his fellow Kadar are impressed by. He is the veteran and victor of potentially hundreds of single combats, wilderness skirmishes, a few decent sized battles and fought in a war against the Kingdom of Lykon.
He now carries out missions and assassinations of high importance for the Vesras; preventing the Yashan and Lykonians from crossing into the Free East and mapping it out. If they do manage to cross the border; he will find them and kill them... Even if it takes him and his two comrades deep into the Kingdom of Lykon.
Otherwise, Igra is a fairly simple, gentleman with a gluttonous love of food and competitive love of board games. He is particularly invested in his son Darim (Who suffers from a mild intellectual disability and possible schizophrenia), having guided and supported Darim from a boy who struggled in learning and Schooling; to a promising, skilled... Though erratic and easily distracted young Kadar.
Igra is a religious fanatic and often openly passes judgement on other Sargari who are sinful or lacking in strict religious observance.
This makes him a perfect match for his wife Eravi: Eravi Hashkar (Nee. Kabar) is a short, round headed and particularly grumpy woman. She is well known for her fierceness, religious fanaticism and bossyness. Her mother was a Karia, as are her sisters and her brother Jaas is a highly respected Tarkhan (A higher rank of Kadar). Her grand mother was a Vesra, her aunts were Karias and her great grand mother Yagalashka Kabar was a highly revered Vesra and Ranyin scholar.
However Eravi, since her youth has had a passion for sewing, making hats, boots and clothing and repairing them. This set her on the path to pursue this passion and utilize her skills in being a tailor; she now is a manager of the largest and most prosperous clothing manufacturer in all of Penkilos, she is highly esteemed by the companies owners.
Though she still works on the floor sewing with the staff on a regular basis; she supervises this large production line of staff like a kind of staunch military officer. Though she is well liked and widely respected, often "Having a smoke and talking shit with the girls" during breaks, though she has made a couple of enemies.
Eravi is ever the tyrant in her home life; making sure her daughter and eldest child Imalavi and her middle son Darim both learned her trade to a professional standard. As a result both the elder Hashkar children can repair, fit and make clothing with impressive proficiency.
Eravi has a love for cannabis; whilst not exactly prohibited in the religion of Agra- A time and place is clearly outlined in the religion when it comes to imbibing the substance... Eravi does not always observe these parameters as closely as she could. Unfortunately, Eravi is also a gambler and loan shark; for a short woman she is surprisingly dangerous in a fight and attracts entourages of loyal and entrepreneurial young women looking for a leader. Despite her husband being somewhat oblivious; she is a criminal.
Imalavi; eldest child in the Haskhar family. Like the prophetess Eravi (Her mother's name) the prophetess Imalavi was daughter to her, this is where Imalavi's name was chosen from. In Sargari culture, to name your daughter Eravi is seen as a blessing, and the blessing multiplied when she names her daughter Imalavi.
Imalavi is quiet, polite and highly intelligent. She is tall like her father and shares much in the way of his easy going temperament. Having a passion for silver smithing, metal work and jewellery making in her youth (An interest both her parents encouraged.) Imalavi like her mother doesn't have the zeal or inclination towards becoming a Karia or aspire to do so to become a Vesra.
Instead she has studied under several Eym mechanics and clock makers to become one herself. She is blessed with great talent for craftsmanship and understanding of mechanics; she is fast becoming seen in the clock making community as being a brilliant new talent. Her betrothed is a Kadar whom has an interest in silver smiting and is an accomplished carpenter. He is a young Kadar by the name of Alagsardar Varka. He is currently deployed to Enkar; Eravi has only met him three times.
Khaa is the newest born of the Hashkars. He is a newborn boy who is named after the prophet Khaa (The first Sargari man.)
