hmmmm....lets see if I can explain this...
first, I scan two to four images (depends on the size of original). One that has the right top of the image, one that has the left top, left bottom, and then right bottom. Next I open up a new image that will fit all four(to two) pics, and move them all into the new image. (does that make any sense?!)
errmmm...once I have all the images on the new canvas, I just start lining them up (you know, one goes under the other, just lining up the...well...lines o.0) . I normally have to zoom in to 300% to make sure I have everything right, but with a little patiance (something I tend to lack - hence the fact that Kori's chin is too long...)
I don't know about your scanner, but mine tends to leave a shadow on the adges of images. I just erase that, flatten the image, reduce the size and POOF! Like that, I have a beautiful reduced image.

I can't believe you scanned this in several pieces--it all fits together so nicely! What's your secret? I have so much trouble doing that, it's unreal!
