I utterly adore Sonic, he was my first ever Videogame idol, ive been goiing on somewhat of a Sonic drawing binge latley and this is the result ^^;;
While not based on the Sonic Games continuity, its based on the old Saturday AM TV series of Sonic, the best thing to be produced from Sonic besides the games IMHO

Outstanding, gorgeous, dramatic, powerful..... try as i may, words cannot describe this masterpiece of yours. I, too, was a big fan of the Sonic SatAM series, which consisted of a strong, serious plot with a bit of classical humor thrown in for a delicate flavor. The dark, polluted skies give the viewer a sense of hopelessness while Sonic, standing in awe of a futuristic building, encourages the viewer not to give up completly. Sonic's posture suggests not just a little bit of awe, but that he is completely overwhelmed by the site in front of him. An astounding piece of work! You have my utmost respect!

Wow. Just....wow. I don't know why, but i seem to love this kind of pose. Ya can just imagine something like "I'm in way over my head, but somebody has to do it" going through his head. Strangely, this reminds me of an old picture i saw in a mag of Final Fantasy VII, with Cloud standing in front of a big reactor thingie. Keep up the AWESOME work
I remember the Sat AM Sonic cartoon... I was so upset when they cancelled it. IMO, it was really, REALLY starting to get good at that point, too.
Anyway, great image. Your attention to detail is killer, and I like that you're not afraid to draw the character from the back. Not many people do that. :)
