I'm just glad someone noticed this picture! Thanks for your comments, I'm happy you liked this one. I did rather like how the lighting came out.

Originally sketched early summer 2002, I believe. I don't have the sketchbook it's in with me, so I can't be certain.

How the heck did I miss this? Jinx, this is AMAZING! You honestly keep getting better and better. It's pieces like this that make me wish you had a little more confidence in your art. The colors in this are just perfect--a glowing sunset that sends gentle warmth over everything. I can almost feel the warm rocks and the first chill of evening's air, and the sea breeze. Which is also the name of an acne medication, but that has nothing to do with this pic. I just wonder why they picked that.
ANYways. I think a little more noise in the background rocks for texture would not be amiss. The sand is quite nice, but you know what the best part is (to me?) His shoes. Specifically, the leg-warmer type parts. The wrinkles in that make me wanna... you know. Kick my mom right in the face and all that.
Keep up the great work, Jinx!
Yay for more Seiken 3 fanart! ^-^ I'm glad to know someone else here is a big fan of the game...
I LOVE the lighting on this piece, how everything is highlighted with the highlights of sunset, and the subtle lens flares on Hawkeye's dagger... Gorgeous stuff. The background's wonderful, too--the soft clouds, the glowing sun, and the awesome lighting on the water's surface... And of course, Hawkeye himself look great as well, though I'm not quite sure where he's sitting in those rocks...
Fabulous piece of art! ~thumbs up~
