Dusk Rendezvous
Dusk Rendezvous by @klawzie (Chella Reaves)

Jenny in her EGL ( Elegant Gothic Lolita ) gear with Pip, apparently waiting for somebody near a canal in "Little Italy". Jed Dire walks by in the background.

It is dusk, not full-night if that helps any who wants to critique the lighting (which I'd appreciate).

Hm...When I think of sunset lighting, I think of oranges (which you have) and purple (hm, needs more of?) and really REALLY dramatic light--it's not unsual to see black silhouettes during sunset, because of how bright the sun is.

So, my recommendations...

Brighten up and saturate more the highlights in the lake. Don't think warm yellow color, think GOLD ORANGE POPSICLE colors. The light reflecting off the moving water will make it AMAZING -- check this out!

But I realize you don't have a sky to work with. Well, then, check THESE out: one, two.

From what I can see, you get two lighting choices: Things in shadow are done in a purpley-red light, kinda greyed out (note, I can only see the thumbnails, heh...stupid schoolnetnanny!), with some occasional red tinges here and there. OR, things getting that sunset-light are turned...hm, not really orange, almost a salmon-pinky color.

So... here, it looks like you should have them in shadow (since it seems to me she's facing another wall--Idunno why!, and maybe, on the backdrop, show the forms of the stuff behind the camera through the lighting.

I'd also turn the lamp off, since they don't seem to light lamps at dusk, then. (blinkum).

Umm...Yeah. Paintovers are available on request!
