Hawaiian Flowers
Hawaiian Flowers by @wasabi (Katie C)

Whoohoo! My first attempt at using watercolor pencils! They're actually not that bad, altho if you choose to use them I recommend using a brush instead of just dipping the pencil in some water. It works a lot better that way. I know the pic is coming off the matting, I didn't do a very good job. ^_^; I think I'll fix it up a bit when I have some time. Artwork © Copyright 2002 Katie Cornett

Very nicely coloured flowers and cut-out I see. Did you know that watercolour pencils can be used like normal pencils and then you can use a damp brush to paint the colours that are on the paper. They can be blended or just evened out this way or even lift some of the colour if you want.

Thank you! And actually, the technique that you suggested is the one I used. I didn't like just dipping the pencils in the water, the color didn't flow as easily that way.
