Sketch of Catherine Zeta Jones, on A4 in 4B pencil. I tried using cotton buds, but found an eyeshadow applicator much better.
Looks a bit wonky, because her head was tilted in the source image, but cos it's an ECU, it's hard to tell. Nose was a bugger, and looks quite bad. Happy with everything else. This is the best I've ever done dark hair, it doesnt look as scraggly as previous. To achieve that i had to draw individual hairs!
Thought this would be nice to draw as she's a local lass, and hardly anyone draws her.

I decide on a picture by picture basis what size I prefer. I usually tend to go for a large size because I like people to see the individual details quite clearly. Most of the time my sketches look worse when scanned, and ever more worse when I reduce the size.
That is awesome! It looks just like her. I especially love her eyes- the detail there is great. And her lips look real- all that sparkle. Great job=)
