Thank you very much for the comment, it is very helpful to see artists come and look one's work over and help them when in need.
I see what you mean about her arms and the barrels of the gun, and all. Instead of using a ink pen and coloring my pictures in colored pencils; I am using art software on the PC with a graphics tablet, and I'm not yet use to putting "more" shadows and such. I am going to try to expand my talents, and try to do some harder drawings: like groups pics, or someone on a motor bike, and stuff. Because if one notices in my gallery, there's a lot of smiple poses and such, and I need to do advance talents more. And that's I am going try to do! So please feel free come and visit and leave comments, I always appreciate it. ^_~ Thanks again! -Miss D. (Debra)
Nice job on the machine gun, the details did come out well. The grip looks a little bent - keep in mind that most guns have a nearly 45 degree angle on the grip as it shapes to the human hand better - and the barrels aren't entirely straight, but otherwise, nicely drawn. I think you're on the right track with shading. Don't be afraid to cast more of the character into shadow. It'll help to give the character more depth and come out of the page - or screen, as it is. One other thing, while the proportions of the character work for the style you're trying to portray, the arms are a little too long to work with it. Even in an SD or chibi style, the body all needs to be in proportion - an easy way to keep track is to remember that when hanging down straight, the elbow is about at the level of the bottom of the ribs, and the forearm is about the same length as the upper arm. You're certainly improving, though. Keep at it!
